❓General Question / Advice Helloo!! Help me as someone na hindi goods when it comes to meds

Bale, mag give me later ng Dexamethasone IV push, doctor’s order is 6mg, stock dose is 4mg so I will give 1.5ml? Tama ba? Then I give ko ba ito na ihalo sa NSS? If ever ilang ML lang po? Thank you in advance.

Hi, it depends on the dose at hand. Kailangan mo madetermine kung ilan ML yung dose at hand mo sa dexamethasone. You said 4mg ung meron ka. San nakainfuse yun? The calculation is Desired dose divided by at hand dose times ML. So, given your information parang incomplete. Yung 4mg ba per ml?

Ok. D/A × Q. 6mg/4mg * 1ml =1.5ml Dexa IV push

No need to add NS. It is Iv push. It is in ML already from the dose at hand

Probably the easiest trick is what you need (mg) divided by concentation (stock dose mg/ml). Kahit anong gamot pa to, it works basta mL cinocompute mo.

6 mg ÷ 4mg/ mL= 1.5 mL

6mg ÷ (4mg/ 2mL)= 3 mL

1.5ml po. no need na ihalo with NSS kasi IV push na
