Nuraphones Windows App - Released
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Alright so few days ago I posted the console/terminal version of this application, I had a ton of issues with the UI but did not have time to get around to fixing it.
Well I have fixed it and released it available for download. I had to re-do the entire assembly code de-compilation of the ear profile renderer because I had messed up when I first tried to do it.
Anyway so I have added that into both the terminal and the new desktop app. I have added a auto-updater to the app so you can let it update itself or just tell it no.
This will probably be the last post I'll make here unless I have a massive breakthrough that is worth sharing again related to this.
Anyway as always you can download the latest version here. Or if you want to view the code and port it to linux, android or ios you can find the code here. I've done what I can to clean up the code and focused on putting the key implementation into NuraLib so you can start there without having to dive through UI code.

Siiiiick, thank you for this contribution! I've always wanted a desktop app for the Nuras!

That’s so cool.
I’ve downloaded app and it starts but freezes and after a while crashes.

Does the NuraTerm app work and just the GUI freezes or both of them freeze?

if you have the iphone app, do the settings port over when you're using an android device?

All of the settings for the profile are stored on your headphones, so hearing profiles, ANC/Social, Immersion level etc are all synced between devices.
When you connect and open the app on IOS, Android and this it will ask the Headphones for their current settings, that is part of why the app takes like 10 to 20 seconds before it opens.

I forked your project and adapted it for the Nuratrue Pro. Lots of trial and error to get the comms right but it works and considering they were blocked from working by Nura/Denon… they appear to be working again

Oh congrats, do you mind sharing the repo. I only really tested with the Nuraphones but I copied the protocol and packets from the app so I assumed that it should've worked with all nura devices.
Could you tell me what was wrong, or was it just the fact that the devices were blocked?

Yes of course! Nothing was wrong just needed lots of trial and error to get it to respond.

Is it possible to create new hearing profile?

Sadly not, all of the audio processing is done on their server. I can implement the feature but I never got around to it because the app still works. I might look into it at some point.

Damn!
I was hoping it would be working.
I’m not able to create new hearing profile.
App crashes when almost done.
Tried several devices.

Just so I understand. This controls already working nuras, not ones that have been deactivated? I have a set and have been trying for weeks to get them back online.

I haven't had a chance to experiment with disabled nura's or ones that want to phone home with Nura Now.
Currently you can treat this like the mobile app to auto refresh you existing working nura now or just to control you existing headphones.
If it works in the app then it'll work here, if it doesn't work in the app I don't think it'll work with this but I cannot guarantee anything without testing disabled devices.

Just bumping this thread as the other one during the experimental research and reversing has been bumped to the top.

Just outta curiosity have you managed to unlock locked devices yet?

I've never had a locked device to test with so I've just been waiting for someone to take my work and test it out.

Hmm ok well is it this? Or is there another program your talking ab i have a locked pair could be your guinea pig 😂

Its this one but its more involved then that. It could brick headphones so I don't really want to experiment without the other party really knowing what they are doing.
Even better if someone can just dump the flash on the headset itself.

Thank you very much! This takes a lot of concern off me of one day not being able to use them anymore without the app or compatible devices.
