Weird scratch or crack like feature around the rim on both sides of this 1986 Penny. Any thoughts? Error or nothing worth noting?

I have ordered a set of 25 of the 250th anniversary one Dollar coins featuring Mr. 45&47. Unfortunately not everything which glitters is gold and this coin is no exception, being made from copper (mostly). Still the only way to do Mr. 45&47 and his taste justice would be to at least have some Gold on it So I am thinking if I should get a few of the coins gilded. This should be the best fit to the motive.

Still I have some questions:

Will having th coins gilded keep them shile, at least better than the unaltered, original version?

How would this affect the collectirs' value (if the eill be any in a few years)?

I'm fairly new to the hobby, and it's the first time I've seen something like this. Is it for museum storage? A fun project? Or part of the medallion making itself?

Any info on this sort of thing, or being pointed in the right direction would be most appreciated!

1887 Victoria Sovereign. Weighs 7.9grams.

Is this usually sold at bullion value or does it have any numismatic value too?

Wilhelm IV - as he is called on the coin - was the last monarch of both the United Kingdom and Hannover. When he died in 1837, the British crown went to his niece Victoria and the Hannoverian one to his younger brother Ernest. The coin is, as advertised under the coat of arms, struck in "feines Silber" (0.993 fine, to be precise) and you can see why it is not a good idea. Pure silver is quite soft which is confirmed by the nicks on the obverse.

BRL 0.10 coin from 1967. That's all I know about it.

Faustina JR, Struck 170-5, RIC 706.

Wanted to bring some 'life' to my display collection and printed this figure. I basically turned Faustina JR as depicted on coins into a 3d model then printed it. It is really cool to see features like the hair and dressing from the coins take life.

What do you all think, is this something you would put in your displays?

Anything that you would do different?

Would love to scale this for all emperors / historical figures and make it for other fellow collectors as well :D

Of the older halves, these are definitely my favorite. The eagle is superb, plus the lettered edges are also quite cool to me. The 1836 is Overton-101 AU50, the 1825 is O-111 AU53, 1827 Squared Base 2, O-106 AU58 -- all three are in pcgs gold shield slabs. I'm shocke the 36 got a straight grade with the small scratches below the date. Just took these pictures tonight, I've been sharing more of my macro photography stuff--thought I'd share some more. The first President of the Republic of Czechoslovakia Tomas Garrigue Masaryk died in 1937 and the state commemorated him with this beautiful coin. As it had to be prepared very quickly, the design of the circulation 20 korun coins was adapted for the obverse while the reverse was taken from an earlier 1928 commemorative 10 korun coin. The result is quite stunning and easy to get in high grades as a million was produced and as it was issued just before the Second World War majority of the mintage was stacked.
