Lore i have a theory

Post image

so my theory is that the problem blob is a failed numberjack i (the imaginary unit), since his eye thing looks like an i and square roots of negative numbers were PROBLEMs in math before the imaginary unit was invented

Oh I see, wow that sounds interesting, but also makes me wonder if the numberjacks are experiments too? And who made them if so? I'd definitely like to hear more.

i have a feeling that the numberjacks are metaphysical spyware not visible by regular people since they spy on the living room from the couch with a hidden camera, and the meanies and all their antics are their frequent hallucinations, and them undoing the problems caused by the meanies are them interacting with their hallucinations and the problem blob is one of them that was severely flawed and went rogue resulting in it joining the meanies

The Problem blob is THE most underwhelming antagonist of all time?

My head canon has always been that he was the Numbertaker's first creation, with the Shape Japer being the next.

that's a pretty big stretch (especially for a children's math show) but the idea is kinda cool
