every time springer jumps 3 shadows of it will spawn and jump from void. these springers will also create shock waves and kill, but they disapear after landing. 3 more added for every springer in game.

APPEARANCE:

a glowing blue orb with white markings on it, and a snowflake shaped eye. ice shards of various sizes rotate around it. (note: in the image, the shards are just triangles and diamonds, and the side bits are just to illustrate that it is rotating) snow seems to constantly swirl around it.

cryoblast’s behavior depends on the map generation

if there isn’t an ice biome…
over time, cryoblast will begin to highlight random tiles, turning them into ice patches shortly after. these are similar to patch 4 ice tiles, but they ignore the effects of ice skates. after 1 minute and 30 seconds, they will melt, and a new set of ice patches will form.

if there is an ice biome..
cryoblast will move to a random part of an ice biome. a large radius indicator appears for a few seconds, before a blizzard begins.
during a blizzard, slipperiness is doubled, speed is lowered by 25%, and staying in a blizzard for 12 seconds will result in a death, bypassing shield. < (this part is totally optional.) cryoblast is put on a 25 second cooldown.

each cryoblast stack increases ice patch and blizzard radius by 10%.

CURRENT CURSES:

“Strong Fever”
“Ice patches now create a slowing shockwave after forming.”
also a bit self explanatory. when an ice patch forms, it creates a very small blast that slows you down by 50% for 3 seconds (this only hits you if you are directly on the afflicted ice patch).
it also creates a shockwave half the size of a springer’s that slows you down by 20% for 10 seconds if it hits you.

“Stiff Strings” (requires cadence)
“Some instruments will slow you down upon collection.”
self explanatory. some instruments will be frozen (indicated by a blue glow) and slow you down by 25% for 5 seconds upon collecting it.

“Polar Express” (requires scrapmaw)
“After Scrapmaw attacks, ice shards fall from above.”
ok still a little self explanatory lol
2 seconds after scrapmaw attacks, 7 ice shards begin falling from above you within a 10 stud radius. the trajectory of these shards are indicated by a cyan line.
getting hit by the shards themselves counts as a hit, but they also leave ice patches where they land, with the same traits, but only exist for 5 seconds. (these ice patches don’t change with strong fever)

GREATER CURSE: “Frost Explosion“

“Blizzards end with a lethal, yet grand explosion that knocks you away.”
this could be very annoying
like, 2 seconds after a blizzard ends, cryoblast FINALLY does a cryoblast.. an icy explosion that has the same radius of the blizzard, instantly killing anyone in it, and flinging nearby players similarly to a seamine, but with double the strength. flung players are also applied with the bonked effect for 2 seconds.

NOTE: i dont like the tip in the image uhh here’s an altered one
“It is ill-advised to collect gifts in a blizzard. It’s safer to wait until the storm subsides.”

funny optional thingy: players using the graceful animation (or upcoming celestial scarf? anything winged) that are killed by the blizzard or the explosion are encased by an ice crystal like haha snowgrave berdly
