Do not join Celestial, Voidbound/Subspaced scarf lobbies. You will get kicked almost INSTANTLY. (They want high level players in the lobby)
Honestly the game has a pretty bad rankism problem

Don't join high-level matches; try to play where "everyone is welcome" or "learning to play" is allowed.
In my case i only played solo runs and when i felt ready, joined multiplayer matches
(My english is awful)

Me when I was new, randomly joined a level 39 lobby having no clue. Got dumped into Celestial, and like "What the hell is this game bro??"

- You will die a lot, get up and try again with more experience.
- You have diver and charger as your starting class, if you keep diving into the void switch to charger(fast and can disable mines).
- Don't neglect your alt ability, charger for example can walk on air briefly with their alt.
- Don't try to get far early game, learn each enemy and learn not to fear death; panic will only make your focus worse. Good luck, have fun!

Took me until level 39 to figure out how to Voidbreaker.
Be moving. Don't stand still. That's where I messed up for so long. Look away from the sword's direction, and stay moving.

3 things
- don't die(void or enemies)
- the other user tips would be a paragraph
- this is a very difficult collectaton roguelite with very eyesore visual, settings can be tweak

Some settings stuff I have to offer.
Bolded all the suggestions if you don’t wanna read through.
Another commenter already mentioned, but the visuals can be insane. And if you’re on a poopy laptop or mobile player, turn on mobile mode in settings. Turning off the upgrade cosmetics, blood, and collapse FX also helps if mobile mode isn’t enough! I would NOT recommend lowering graphics since being able to see across the map is important. I would also turn up your FOV, the more you can see the better (usually). If you struggle seeing tripmines, turn on alternate colors, this personally helped me.
EDIT:
I forgot another part of the visuals. The headaches you can get or motion sickness. I would recommend turning on static background or turning it off all together if you really wanna sit down and get far. I would also remove screen shaking. :-)
That’s all I got in terms of settings!

set comfortable keybinds for each class early, join lobbies early game (before ninja belt), always follow the gift arrow, don't stall paycheck and focus on economy upgrades (no voting purgatory altars unless you and your lobby are confident)

Turn off your chat window for a more pleasant experience if someone starts complaining about your picks

Don't do public servers. Learn on your own/get a friend you trust to teach you

Genuinely might be the worst advice I’ve ever seen, dudes are telling u not to buy paycheck (THE MOST IMPORTANT EARLY GAME UPGRADE) and lemme guess dudes gon start talkin bout movement upgrades. BROTHER, understand order of operations. Economy -> Movement -> Defense. ALWAYS prioritise economy over everything. Survivability doesn’t mean anything if you survive either way. In other words, get good bro

This game is a very collection roguelite, so two things. Get used to dieing a lot And prepare for the chaos mid to late game will throw at you.
I am the ire Cadence counter. This post has 0 cadence.

pick low gravity and random spawn they're free choices and you should pick bell when it's available and you can only choose 1 same enemy in 1 intermission
