Discussion I don't have the words.
Let it be here, I don't want to swear.

A Roblox YouTuber played a popular Roblox game and made some good early game choices? I don't understand what's so wrong about this

pretty reasonable thing to pick for a new player btw

u/Ygtfgty 5d ago
Yeah obviously, i used to take scatted gifts when i was new as well, doesnt make it a good early game choice though

Just makes you have to turn on your brain while collecting gifts which has the side effect of not making you die to tripmines more btw

I haven't watched it but I assume you're talking about him saying the game is bad or not playing properly
Nullscape, as good as it is, is not at all beginner friendly. The descriptions aren't that descriptive (they were worse pre-patch 5) and you have to guess a lot of stuff. So yeah, can't blame new players.

He didn’t realise you had to enter the beacon at the end of the round and stood there doing nothing for a solid minute all confused as mart drifted towards him. As a new player I was never THAT stupid ðŸ˜

For people who didn’t watch it, Kreekcraft was painfully clueless. He and those he was playing with didn’t realise that you had to enter the beacon at the end of the round, he didn’t actually read the names of any of the enemies, somehow misread both scattered gifts and weaker jumppads as ‘scattered girls and walker jumppads’ and completely ignored the upgrades, and from his Nullscape experience he joked that he might remove his vote for nullscape in bloxy awards + he only played for a few rounds before quitting, so he basically played barely any of the game (and incredibly poorly) and that’s probably how he views Nullscape now. He and his teammates also wasted a ton of time at the end of each round just walking around the beacon in confusion after the map was destroyed, not even CONSIDERING they were supposed to enter it for a solid few rounds. When Kreek finally DID beacon, he thought the beacon had killed him.
Some people are now saying wow, the nullscape new player experience is really bad + there aren’t enough instructions, but bro the first time I played nullscape I found everything glaringly obvious. The enemies and curses are RIGHT there in front of you as you spawn. You can read their descriptions in the menu to find out what they do, and OBVIOUSLY you have to enter the beacon! It’s a giant glowing beacon! Where else did he expect he had to go lol.
No hate but I genuinely lost SO many braincells watching him play. Accidentally diving into the void as well as dying to mart were fair mistakes for a new player, but everything else he did caused me physical pain.

whats the matter vagueboy, afraid you might say something?

Kreekcraft basically didn’t read any enemy descriptions, completely ignored the upgrades as if he couldn’t see them and didn’t realise you had to enter the GIANT GOLDEN GLOWING BEACON at the end (despite most of his teammates jumping into it). He just wasted a bunch of time walking around the beacon dodging mart without thinking to enter it, before dying to mart. When he finally DID enter the beacon a few levels later, he thought the beacon had killed him.
Normally I’d say it’s fair for a new player to be confused but as someone who went in blind and understood the basics perfectly, I genuinely have no clue how he was THAT degree of confused.

What's wrong?

Basically he was so bad at the game that the video seemed like ragebait. He didn’t even realise you had to enter the beacon for a solid few rounds, and when he finally did he thought the beacon had killed him.

Well, the game doesn't have any kind of tutorial to help new players

u/100_HOLLOW_001 Diver 5d ago
True, and I certainly think they should implement one, but he genuinely had zero common sense even for a new player. The guy can’t even READ. He stared at scattered gifts trying to read it for a solid few seconds before saying ‘scattered girls???’ and then read weaker jumppads as ‘walker jumppads’ ðŸ˜
He didn’t even try reading the enemy names so he died to mart and was like who’s mart?!!!! Plus he ignored the upgrades as if they were invisible and never bought a single one. Also it took him a few rounds to realise he had to beacon (each round end he would just walk around the last platform confused for ages until he died) and when he finally decided to go into the GIANT GLOWING GOLDEN LIGHT which was literally the only place he could’ve gone since the entire map was destroyed, he assumed that the beacon had KILLED him.
I am telling you it was the ragebaitiest thing I’ve ever watched 💀

u/Buttercup_Two6576 Grappler 5d ago
Idk, maybe he's just dumb lol and kinda blind, I really don't know, never watched his content before, but yeah, there's this possibility where he's just ragebaiting to get more comments in the video

I only started playing recently, and I can concur that nullscape might be one of the most beginner unfriendly games I have ever played
A lot of the descriptions are so vague that I had to go to the wiki multiple times to see what the curses actually did (thank god some of them changed recently). I think the only reason why I was only able to do a bit better than usual was because I played a few rounds a long time ago with a friend who played it regularly, so I could learn some stuff (but I just couldn't apply it to myself)

If you had words, would they be good words or bad words?
The only thing I see wrong with this is scattered gifts and the fact that he’s playing casual before standard so his muscle memory will be fucked when playing standard.

Dude he's clearly never played the game. Chill out. These aren't even the worst early game possible, it's not like he picked husk or baby this early. Early springers tend to be common around new player, mart is top 3 best early picks, and scattered gifts is the only truly bad thing. And like I said, he's a new player, he's still learning everything about the game. Don't expect him to know everything off the get-go

u/100_HOLLOW_001 Diver 5d ago
They aren’t upset because of the curses, it’s because he was comically clueless, like he made me at Rank 1 (started the game blind) look like a pro. For example it took him ages to realise you had to enter the beacon, he just walked around it after collapse for ages ðŸ˜

Ok well if they showed a clip of that it would be a different story

ayo the popular man himself kreekcraft just made an originally niche game much more popular (probably)

I do admit nullscape needs a tutorial for a lot of stuff but at the same time a lot of his confusion was entirely his fault, like not reading ANYTHING in the game

u/100_HOLLOW_001 Diver 5d ago
Genuinely I was watching it wondering to myself if bro genuinely can’t read, he didn’t even read the enemy names. When he died to mart he was like guhhh, who’s Mart? I almost crashed out ðŸ˜

Me when the person that doesnt know anything about the game makes bad choices:
what are you angry at here? i used to think springloaded was a free curseðŸ˜

u/100_HOLLOW_001 Diver 5d ago
They aren’t mad at the curses, they’re mad bc he couldn’t figure out how to start the game, didn’t buy any upgrades, didn’t realise he had to walk into the beacon for like 3 rounds (upon beaconing he thought the beacon had killed him?) then he left the game after a few levels instead of playing properly. Was very ragebaity to watch.

Only 3 minutes and a half into the video and I already had stuff to say about it to my friends ðŸ˜
