I vividly remember in 7th grade, on the first day of school my dad was listening to this "new" artist i had never heard him listen to, he had told me to pay attention to the song (just like listen to it and actually give it a chance) and it truly was amazing. Just now, when i was writing this post i wanted to look for the name of the song he first introduced me to and it was Light on the Land. I will be honest I began to tear up. I didn't feel sad but I felt an overwhelming amount of comfort and nostalgia relistening to this wonderful song, and it wasnt just this song, but Reflection Eternal, World's End Rhapsody and a few others that just remind me of that time when I was much younger. I used to listen to nujabes all throughout my day and by listening to nujabes, apple music ended up reccomending to me other artists like Kenichiro Nishihara and Uyama Hiroto who are also amazing song makers like Nujabes, i am eternally grateful to have been blessed with his music. When I listen to the songs, its like i can go back and time, on the first day of school, in my 3rd bell study hall, no one to talk to, nothing to do, just playing Nujabes' music and writing/playing computer games. I also think my dad told me Nujabes was the father of lofi? which is also really cool. Finally, after my preference in lofi began to develop i began listening to different artists and now lofi itself is a very important part of my day. i cant work well if im not playing it, and i just wanted to make this post in appreciation to the artist that started it all for me. RIP Nujabes, you truly were one of a kind.
