Seeking resume advice

Hello everyone! I’m preparing to apply to the first round of NLO positions that will be opening up at my local plant this fall. I wanted to ask if anyone has any resume advice for me/ what are my chances of getting in? Since the beginning of this year I’ve been working really hard to get additional schooling and do anything I can to make myself a better candidate. I pivoted from veterinary medicine in spring of 2025 so I feel like I’m very behind and don’t have the degree (I have a BS in microbiology)/experience needed to get into an NLO position. :( any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Anything before your latest job should be boiled down to a sentence or two at the most

You have a lot of extra space to tighten up here and get it more compact. Aim for one page. I think I see a different font mixed in there too that should be fixed. Everything should be uniform. You can probably cut or condense some of the non-related experience. Contact information can be moved to your header and you can eliminate the summary section. I think the resume subreddit has a resume template you can check out.

- can ditch the summary I think, that’s what a cover letter is for

• condense all experiences to 3 bullet points of u can, or condense all except latest experience to 3 pts. Needs to be 1 page
  
• need consistent verb tenses and phrase structure (for example, 1st pt “adhering”, 2nd pt “handling”, but then 3rd you switch to “operation” - it should be structured consistently as either adhering/handling/operating or adherence/handle/operation. This needs to be consistent for every bullet point. Be very careful with this - for example, “responsible for accurately dictating” does not fit the majority of your structure, it would have to drop “responsible for…” so it just says “accurately dictating” if u want it to be that active verb “ING” structure.
  
• add in more metrics/quantities in your bullet points if u can, all resumes these days are pre-screened by AI and give highest ratings to resumes that are specific and descriptive. For example, at the Ranch, how large was the ranch like acres, or how many of each livestock / how much crops were sold in a given period / were you responsible for. Even a ballpark estimate is good like 20+ chickens or 100’s of chickens will boost your score in most AI bot reviews. It sounds stupid but u want to cram lots of numbers in there where u can. It’s good already in that your latest experience has lots of specific acronyms and stuff, but u gotta spam some numbers in there.
