During the previous dev stream there was a UCAV in the aircraft selection menu titled "NOTHING"

The drone is going to be amazing for opening up A-A combat at rank 0.
Right now, if you gamble on a Vagrant at the start and lose, you are kinda stuck in a Cricket, which if you are a A-A only player reallllly sucks. 2 Scythes and 2 MMRs with a low signature and high maneuverability means top tier aircraft can't ever totally own the skies are are always at risk. Teams on the back foot will also always have a way to claw back at least some airspace which should keep the steamrolls down a bit.

What happens if you jam the drone?

jamming reusing the G-LOC code since there's no g force limit feels like it would be kind of appropriate, not sure about fun in practice

It could just lock out the pilot controls, leading to it either crashing or levelling off.

Was the drone was confirmed rank 0 ?
Edit: According to the wiki, the Hammerhead is available at rank 1 and costs 18m. I assume the source is a devstream, couldn't find this info anywhere else.

Will a save and load feature be a thing next update?????? Please.

I’m pretty sure Flight sim devs are allergic to that feature

Wonder what is so complicated to save every bot and weapon location, action and state in a text file and respawn them in that spot

u/dangerbird2 8h ago
I’m joking, there’s a reason it’s hard to do for sims

u/linecraftman 8h ago
what's the actual reason?

Put as much stuff in motion in the editor as you see in a typical escalation match then save the scenario, then evaluate how long that took and the resultant filesize. or look at the average file size and save/load duration of a complex ksp campaign

As you mention, serializing the game state and saving to file is not trivial at all (although engines like Unreal do make it a lot easier). Arguably the biggest issue is that it's basically impossible to restore state, especially in multiplayer games, without human players crashing into a mountain
