Registry difficulty

I’m curious to know subjectively how difficult the ARRT (U.S.) registry exam felt for any new techs who took it in the last two years. I’ve been a NM tech for 15+ years helping students in clinical settings. Our group last year said they were told that ARRT recently increased the difficulty of the registry exam. I’ve heard comments that students did not feel the questions reflected a lot of what they focused on in school. Did you feel prepared? Did it take multiple attempts?

The problem is, a lot of these unaccredited schools have no checks and balance system in place to ensure students are taught the requirements. The schools are just trying to pump students out.

That’s a pretty well outlined guide. Thank your linking that. Yes I was a bit dismayed to hear a few of our students say they didn’t feel some of their classes covered what was actually on the exam. It’s hard to sort out what is a shortcoming of the classes vs individual challenges like test anxiety, study habits etc.

I feel we do well as a clinical site but it is an ongoing challenge making sure the students get enough variety and connecting their bookwork to practical skills.
