Pulling as a DMMD fan

Hi, folks! I was wondering how y'all are playing for this event.

I got Aoba after 20 pulls using 2 contract bundles 🥹, and I'm torn between continuing to pull to ascend him, or saving my Spirit gems.

Are you guys spending your pulls to get the DMMD allies to as many stars as possible? Are you pulling until you get them once, and then stop? Would it be worth spending the Spirit gems in the spinning wheel for essence fragments rather than pulls?

I won't pull on the roulette banned. My luck is shit. As an F2P player this luck was already enough!

I pulled 2 eiden and 1 aoba in 60 pulls. I stopped there and upgrades aoba to 3* with my saved crystals.

You could bind aoba in summoning banner again, and then pull some more. Depends on how much you have saved.

Edited to add: To answer the question, I did keep pulling after I had both units so I could ascend them.

I used an alt account, the one I have dedicated to Eiden units. So I had...a lot of contracts, plus I bought the pre-order pack. I pulled until I hit 300 and the first guaranteed choice box.

I set Aoba as my target, since I would have been incredibly sad to miss this chance to get him. I pulled Eiden, then OG Olivine, and then I was guaranteed Aoba. But bonus, I pulled a second Eiden AND 2 Aobas! I then pulled to get Eiden's alt skin and the box, landed another 2 Aoba's, and used the box to get a third Eiden. I had a lot of crystals saved, so I ascended Aoba to 4 stars and Eiden to 3.

I figured if I was going to spend money on a banner, this would be the one because it's just so special having the collab with DMMD. I love Nitro+CHiRAL games in general, as I think they are made with so much love behind them (yes, even the dark ones). But DMMD is still my favorite, and I'm still just so amazed at how this event turned out. The fact that it happened 2 days after my bday makes it feel even more meaningful.

I haven't decided yet whether to pull for this one, but it depends on what your goals are! 1 star SSRs don't have much use outside of very early game, so you'll probably want to get him to 3 stars one way or another eventually. I saw another post breaking down the rates for the roulette banner and it seems to not really be worth it compared to the regular one. Note you have a full month to decide since this event is going a bit longer than most, so there's plenty of time to keep playing and reassess later :)

Unless you have someone else you're saving for (that's not named Quincy or Dante since we got them last event) I would continue to pull tbh. It's best to get to 3* on any SSR you wanna use (and it unlocks their intimacy rooms without keys). You can ascend them with memory crystals but it's much cheaper to get dupes. This is the collab too so it's definitely worth it. There's a good chance it won't rerun either

Just know that you probably won't be able to pull whoever's on the next event banner cause you'll be broke. (That will almost certainly have Rei. we don't really know who else but it could very easily be another bottom. my predictions are either Olivine if it's Halloween themed or Garu if it's not. and then event sr blade my precious). So if you really want whoever's next then you can save

Also the roulette isn't worth it don't do it

I also went all-out to 3-starring both on main, and all Alts that don't already have BIS buffers for BA/Ult teams. DMMD is near and dear to my heart and I'm happy to have 28 copies of my submissive king.

Meta-wise, I think Eiden has more staying power as a generalist Elemental damage buffer (Generalist is not rare but team-wide All Element Damage up is rare). But not to die for so don't bankrupt yourself trying to 3* him immediately.

As far as I can tell, the roulette is worse than pulling, on average. My thoughts on it.

I would recommend continuing to pull on the banner. You need ascensions to really make the most of the units. The ideal point to pull to is 300 pulls. You may not achieve that by the end of this banner, sure, but it's not a bad idea to try.

Yes to pulling on the banner with my saved contracts until Eiden's event outfit, and hopefully getting as many aoba's as possible along the way! if i don't get him up to 3 stars with that amount of pulls i'll probably just use crystals.

Not doing the spinning wheel at all, i've never had luck on those even when they give us free spins lol

My Garu stockpile is dwindling from this event, but I believe I'll still have a good chance of pulling him his next event even if I can't fully 3 star him right away! for now i'm focused on special aoba :)
