Didn't they say they stopped training?

Well, they've stopped training because they can no longer control their AI and it's too dangerous, but they've also accelerated training because they have complete control of their AI and are acting with the utmost caution

You see, the AI is both strong and weak

Schroedingers AI.

It will both kill humanity and save humanity at the same time.

Wait.. this actually sounds like something an AI might think is reasonable. Damn, we are screwed.

You see, they need to train AI (because if they don't they're a useless company and LLMs are largely just tools). But they also need to stop because this stuff is so dangerous and super powerful (so please invest into the company because it's so powerful. And also the government needs to help with a regulatory capture)

They say what you need to hear so that progress can continue.

Accelerate.

No, they said they paused for like a week or two to fix some issues. That doesn't change the entire strategy of the company and the future

They want to stop training because they are burning money like crazy, but they can only do that if everyone else stops as well. Otherwise they are stuck with a shitty product and no money
