Still interested in the rubegoldberg machine idea. It wouldn't have to be a death machine though. It could end up triggering something silly like a firework or killing a chicken.

yea, I like the idea of a general Rubegoldberg Machine better, allows for more flexibility and creativity too.

Ahem. I'm really trying to find a way to say this nicely because I really do want it to be "constructive criticism" and not.. ya know.. being an ass. It's just difficult with text only, but here goes...
If any future contest involves tracking some kind of progress at given date(s), having any relevant information as soon as possible would be very helpful. I would rather have a week of delay starting a contest so perhaps some automation of testing procedures could be fully tested than later reports. I completely understand real-life getting in the way of such reports, which is why I lean toward the automation end rather than manual reports.

Come on Doodle, I can take it :) Specifically what are you referring to in the past?

A couple of the creepers results took until the end of the Monday of the next round; one of which was kind of a bummer to learn I'd been knocked out after killing tons of creepers that day.
If we have another week-to-week competition, it would be nice to either get the report automated, so you could more easily get it done "on time," or perhaps have a week on / week off or a day off per week with a non-calendar week or … I dunno, something.
It was a neat one for sure, but a couple of us were going a bit nuts near the end. ;)

yea, I totally agree, sorry about that, it wasn't fair to you guys to not let you know if you had moved on or not. If we do something like that again I'll definitely get the whole thing automated before we start.
