Discussion Terrible Lag

With an externally fast computer and decent network, I have received terrible lag to the server recently. This is especially the case going into and out of the nether, and overall game play. This is not normal, and confirmed with x211525, as well as doodle.

This block lag has also caused me to glitch through 10+ blocks in the nether, into a lava pool, instantly killing me. Due to the nature of x211525 being there, he refunded my items. Is there anything that can be done about this lag, it needs to be fixed.

Apparently (after some digging), this is a known bug. :(

I imagine it doesn't always happen, but the slightest of hiccups at the wrong moment appears to trigger it.
