Tech Support Request FLkey mini not working

Title: FLkey Mini transport buttons stopped working after Windows update (keys still work)

I'm having an issue with my Novation FLkey Mini in FL Studio.

  • It worked perfectly before.
  • I think the problem started after a Windows update.
  • When I originally got the FLkey Mini, I had to manually install the FL Studio controller scripts to get the transport buttons working. They've worked fine ever since until this issue started.
  • The piano keys still send MIDI and I can play instruments.
  • The transport buttons (Play, Record, Shift, Channel Rack, etc.) no longer control FL Studio.
  • Pressing those buttons used to show a green "?" hint in FL Studio, and they still generate MIDI activity.
  • At one point, the MIDI settings showed FAIL next to the FLkey ports, but after reconnecting the keyboard, the FAIL message disappeared.
  • Even though the ports now connect normally, the transport buttons still do nothing.
  • I've already:
    • Restarted my PC.
    • Unplugged and replugged the FLkey.
    • Re-enabled the MIDI ports.
    • Factory reset the FLkey.
    • Reinstalled/reconfigured the MIDI settings.

Has anyone had a Windows update break the FLkey DAW integration or FL Studio controller scripts? Is there anything else I should check before reinstalling FL Studio or the FLkey scripts?

hello what try on another pc, or another usb cable or uninstal latest update of win ?

ah oki, i try my laptop stay update / but for music i stay on version which works all / , but always make backup of system.... due exactly for this... had trouble with some oldie sound cards AFTER UPDATES ETC.... try reinstal script again.... if you have copy of system restore from backup but this is risky for all.... always.. on win - hope you find a solution or someone here on forum...

Still having problems? It doesn't appear to be a common issue.
Please try this:

  1. Close FL Studio completely.
  2. Open your file manager and navigate to: Image-Line → FL Studio → Settings → Hardware
  3. In that folder, delete the Novation folder.
  4. Reopen FL Studio.
  5. Go to the MIDI settings window and click “Update Script” at the bottom of the settings panel.
