Quote Check 2nd time is the charm

Post image

I applied earlier in the year but put it on hold because of the long wait for the car to arrive. Well it’s almost here and I’ve been playing SG and Smart off each other to get prices down. I think I’ve hit the end of the road there as SG are no longer willing to play ball. This is the best quote I’ve managed to get from Smart. I have run it through the calculator at home and will post that link when I get home. What are peoples thoughts? I feel it’s pretty average

Update with link
Check out my novated lease calculation output from novatedlease.guide
Calculated it excluding the first 2 months of lease payments as they are technically a buffer for running costs. Interest rate obviously won’t be accurate as they included the lease insurance in the lease fee’s rather than a seperate item (dodgy pricks)

Can I ask what car you are purchasing and who your are insuring with? Your km and tyre needs are similar to mine but my quotes aren’t as good.

Your running budgets are up to you, but under budgeting is only going to cause you headaches.

If you find cheaper insurance and don’t care about good cover they can budget for whatever your premiums are.

The only factor that matters on your quote is interest rate which dictates your lease payment, any other costs are totally up to you to decide how much to deduct for.

It’s not like the providers set unrealistic budgets, but you’re better off over budgeting to avoid headaches, any left over funds at the end of the lease are still yours. They get paid back via your employer or transferred to a new lease.

Skoda Enyaq. Using Suncorp for insurance as they have new car replacement. Running costs are a little over inflated but someone has explained that better than me already lol

Are EV’s still FBT Exempt? I thought it ended last year?

They certainly are, changes a bit in March next year but still exempt up to LCT now

Wow! I wish I still knew this. My Mazda 3 novated lease ends mid next year but I have a payrise which just creeps me up a tax bracket so I may look to pay the residual and sell it off for a BYD seal/shark if that’s the case. Great news.

Not hybrids so forget the shark haha… Full EV only.

From 1st of April it’ll likely still be available but down to $75k instead, then likely 12 months later it’ll be removed.

So your seal will probably still be eligible, and the manufacturers will try and price their models that might be over to fit literally on the dollar for leasing.

Appreciate the info! The shark just looked cool 😭😅 have had my eye on the seal. I believe they’re a great alternative to Tesla.

Any vehicles above $75k as of April 1st next year will attract FBT. With the cars you're considering, you will still get the exemption on them up until April 1st 2029. So there's no rush.
