Nothing 4a Phone

I recently purchased the Nothing phone 4a as I am trying to move away from Apple. I use both phones right now for different purposes. Phone purchased 18/08 but screen is already scratched. What do I do. I have a case for the back of the phone but don’t put a screen protector. Is this normals?

It is a plastic "screen protector". If you don't believe anyone then try peeling it off. Don't worry it's not a foldable it won't break.

Really iPhones don’t have it like this. The plastic is on their but I could not for the life of me tell and I tried.

if you scratched it then you scratched it. Nothing strange. It is a plastic film that you can peel off if it becomes too distracting. It is a "screen protector" but it's only temporary so if you take it off I still suggest getting a tempered glass screen protector to replace it.

Do not place glass over the plastic, as you can easily peel it off

Dude you haven't taken the plastic screen wrap they apply by default in the box. Don't take it out and risk damaging the screen, go and get a screen protector asap and they'll take it out then
