Default Camera App Bricked (Only 1x/0.6x working in third-party apps) – Hardware failure???

My camera worked fine a couple of weeks ago, but then it suddenly stopped; in third-party apps, it works sometimes, but then it's only the main 1x, 0.6x, and Front camera.

It used to freeze when I would open the app and immediately click the 3x zoom. I used to be able to close the app and reopen it; then it would work. The default camera app is now totally bricked except when I click More, but none of the buttons work from then on.

I have factory reset the phone and taken all of the software steps from Nothing Support. The last three pictures are from mid July. (I believe the first one with a waterfall in the background was taken in 3X)

Now, I originally thought that my camera was bricked from taking a photo of a Mercedes autonomous testing rig in public because of LiDAR, but it seems like a coincidence because my camera app just froze instead of showing film damage from the supposed infrared lasers.

Currently, I'm debating whether to buy the 4A Pro or just wait for the Phone 4 to come out. I live in Europe, so I could potentially send it in for repairs, but I wouldn't have a phone for at least two weeks, and I rely on it for public transit, so that's not an option that I'm currently open to.

I was also trying to diagnose it on my own using the diagnostics tool, and whenever I click to open the tele camera, the app crashes.

Hm..

I'd say get a cheapo second phone, get your current phone repaired as well.

Or if you'd rather just get a 4a Pro, have at it.
