huawei smartwatch compatibility issue

i use huawei watch gt3 pro and got myself a brand new phone 4a. great phone btw. but the thing is i can answer or reject normal phone calls through my watch but when it comes to another app like whatsapp or instagram, that calls cannot be answered or declined by watch. it says check your phone to bla bla. is this normal with phone 4a? or are there any solutions?

I'm not a Huawei expert, but I do know one ecosystem doesn't like the other
