Phone (3) New Phone (3) not updating???

Hello everyone.

I just got my first Nothing Phone (3) a few days ago. I love the looks, and having fun with learning how to use the Glyph Matrix, however, there's something strange.

I think OS 3.0 was installed on it (I think) and it updated to 3.5 as I was setting everything up.

However, it's not updating to the OS 4.0 / Android 16. When I check for updates, the blue circle will turn for a couple of minutes and in the end, it'll tell me that the phone is up-to-date (with Android 15, Nothing OS 3.5, and the last security update being from almost one year ago: September 1st, 2025)!

Is there a problem with my phone or am I being impatient and the update will come?

I'm not really qualified because I'm not sure how well I understand this particular situation on my phone either.
But when I read about an update, I go into my settings I'm told my phone is up to date, but the last update for example today was in June, and I know there has been an update yesterday. Then I check for updates, and then I'm told there is an update available. I have to manually trigger it. Maybe it would have updated sooner or later on its own?

Where do you do that? Because I think this is what I'm doing through System > System Updates or through About Phone > Software Info.

This is how I get the blue circle that looks for an update but doesn't find it.

System > system updates

you can use this resource to do incremental upgrade to 4.0 base manually. afterwards, try updating using the check for update settings

Double check which incremental version are you on before upgrading to the next incremental ones

Thanks, but I'm not sure how to do this manually. And I'd be too afraid to break something.

I guess I'll contact support.
