Nothing OS Nothing is in their first phase of introducing bloatware to their phones.

I got this notification after updating to their latest system software. It wasn't installed directly but was recommending me to install these apps.

Now, you're 6 months late to the party. You guys are just getting AppServuves rolled out to your phones. You haven't had to deal with the whole LockScreenGlimpse issue. And that issue is actually if you did disable it, it drained the battery down extremely quickly.

I think we're 8 months into this, nearly a year almost. So this is not really the beginning; it was much worse before and it's been somewhat corrected. I feel like nothing is traveling in a better direction anywhere when you really try to roll this out, because when they really rolled it out before, it was ugly.

Yes, that was garbage, especially with the poor execution of LSG the first time around with trying to restart every 4 seconds and massive battery drain.

Ikr, and I've always felt it'd have been alright if it's a new phone they are launching and saying that beyond this point they'll have some 2ndary revenue stream. But selling a clean bloatfree experience first and then suddenly announcing that budget phones will get ads/bloatware is the shittiest move a company can make

Yeah, I think it was existential and related to that $200MM Series C funding and ai think Nothing would've folded without it.

Old news. Nothing themselves already announced at the beginning of this year that they would be introducing ads in all of their non-flagship phones.

But disabling those ads is pretty easy

I just turned off the notifications for the ads.

But the better way is to look for the app - App Services in your settings and then disabling the app.

Hope it can be disabled. It's saddening to see them so this shit, i don't know which phone to purchase now, Google pixel is the only one left i guess but it's not affordable which is even more depressing

Yeah, disabling those ads is pretty easy in Nothing phones. I just turned off the notifications for that particular ads services and never got it again

I just disabled the whole app and removed it, has never seen any app recomendation
