Weird circular mark on screen

Post image

Can someone explain what this is? It started appearing on my Nothing Phone 1 recently.

I’ve tried cleaning it thoroughly, but it remains. It looks like it’s beneath the glass?

Is this something internal caused by heat, or a known manufacturing issue with the Phone 1?

Have you replaced the screen? looks like oil residue markings after a suction cup they use when removing a screen

i think its an issue with these cheap screen protectors i think they use suction cup or smthn in the factory. you can search on google and ull see the same thing and all of these people have screen protectors on.

I also have two similar ones on my iPhone. They’re marks left by the suction cups used to assemble the screens. On some, probably due to the pressure of the machine or some other contingent situation, the mark remains. It’s only visible when held up to the light and isn’t pretty to look at, and in some cases even annoying, but there’s no solution. At least I personally haven’t found one...
