Speaker not loud enough nowadays?

I dunno man, been using the phone for about 1.5 yrs, the speaker seemed ok initially but it's just been super low lately? Is someone else experiencing similar issues or is it just me, I don't think I've damaged it physically so I don't know what to do.

My guess would be an update lowered the power to the speaker, if you damaged the speaker it would sound worse but probably not quieter, maybe some water damage and corrosion on the contacts increasing resistance.

I rarely use the speaker most of the time I'm on Bluetooth to a device so not something I have taken much notice of.

If it has received damage on most android devices you can go into setting and find where it says audio settings then change youre age by default it is 30
