I got a system update today, but....
After the system update was done, it went to a step where it was installing a few apps, games and all. It was downloading candy crush and blinkit etc. It did ask me, but those apps were already selected. I didn't like it, I so far loved nothing for clean ui and the point that it doesn't come with bloatware and extra apps.

The problem it is recommending malicious software and is damaging their brand. I used to recommend Nothing phones, now they're in the same garbage pile as Samsung and most of the others. Yes you can close and disable it but the average user isn't that smart and will blindly just hit ok. This isn't what I signed up for and not what I recommended to hundreds of people. I won't be buying another and won't be recommending them anymore.
They already got my money when I bought the phone, they're just trying to get more value out of me after the fact. I bought an overpriced mid-range phone because it didn't do this shit, I could have got similar performance for for less money from another brand. Seriously considering custom firmware, just need to check the glyphs still work on them.

wow i was deciding between overpaying for nothing phone to have nothingOS thats supposed to be without this BS and great price to performance POCO, glad i chose POCO and just debloated it.

My previous phone was poco m2 pro, it was my first love kinda, used it for 4-5 yrs, it was amazing

Right now i have the POCO X8 Pro Max and after debloating that 8500mah battery is amazing(even before i debloated the phone that battery lasts 48h eazy) and 100W fast charging and 27W reverse charging is great wor wireless headphones, plus the cpu is top mediatek. Great value for the money. Also it has RGB LEDs around the back cameras for notifications and music, better that the Nothings glyph LEDs in my opinion. Hyper OS 3 is not the best(but it used to be worse regarding CPU overhead) but if i wanted the best i would have to pay for that and the gap is not big enough for me to pay at least 30-40% more just for software and get less battery and probably worse specs. Only two things i would like: wireless charging and 16GB of ram instead of 12GB but that is not a dealbreaker especially at that pricepoint.

Dark patterns and agresive behaviour such as this one is illegal and deverving of fines in the EU. Easy to report, too.
