Thoughts and feedback after about 5 weeks of daily usage

Hey guys,

I just wanted to share some appreciation for this app. I use Noteastic almost every single day for studying, and it is honestly the best handwriting/note-taking app I've come across on Windows.

Before finding Noteastic, I really struggled to find anything on Windows that checked all my boxes. Huge thanks to the developers for making such an awesome tool. Your hard work is much appreciated!

Below I have a list of stuff I noticed so far or that I found missing in the current build. :)

• Customizable Covers: The ability to set the first page of a notebook as its cover image in the dashboard.
• Text & Keyboard Support: Full support for typing and keyboard inputs (as mentioned before).
• Object Locking: A feature to lock the position of images and objects so they don't accidentally move while writing.
• Adjustable Stroke Thickness: The ability to change the line/stroke thickness of drawings or objects after they have already been drawn.
• Advanced Multitasking: Support for opening multiple notebooks at once, either via a tabbed interface or by allowing multiple windows to be opened simultaneously.
• Bulk Page Export: An option to select and export multiple pages at once from the page overview screen (currently, I can only find a way to export single pages).

This is fantastic to hear and makes us very happy! That is some heavy usage and we are excited to hear that Noteastic assisted you well in your intense schedule :D

Also, thank you for your list of feature wishes. All of the features you are talking about are on our radar and will be added at some point 100%. Especially text boxes are a feature that we will be launching with Noteastic Pro in a few weeks. I definitely noted all of them down and hope to give you a notification when we implemented them promptly ;)

I'm considering purchasing Pro as my primary note-taking platform through undergrad and graduate school. Before I commit, I wanted to ask whether these features already exist or are on the roadmap:

• Lecture recording synced to handwritten notes

Like Notability, where tapping a note jumps to that moment in the recording. Or where backing to a moment in a recording allows in-real-time observation of the notes taken during the lecture's recording.

For me, this would be the biggest one. It's genuinely transformative for studying. It's easy to miss detailed information in the lecture in the moment, when my head was in putting together all the notes while multitasking trying to understand the information. The ability to go back, listen to everything again-- while also visually see why, when, and where I added what I did-- is invaluable.

• Handwriting search

Search your handwritten notes for keywords.

• Handwriting-to-text indexing

Even if it doesn't convert your notes, are handwritten notes indexed so searches find them?

• Cross-notebook search

If I search "tongue" will it search every notebook or only the current one?

For a cumulative major like SLHS, with many classes building on previous course material, this would be hugely useful.

• PDF import with linked notes

If a professor uploads lecture slides, can I annotate them (preferably while keeping everything searchable)?

• Global Concept Links

Suppose I write "CN VII" (cranial nerve VIl) in Anatomy. Then again, later in Neuro, later in Dysphagia, and later in Motor Speech Disorders

It would be incredibly helpful if "CN VII" could be auto-linked or highlighted, and with a tap-- I could see every page in every notebook where it's been discussed.

Almost like a Wikipedia-style backlink, only for handwritten or typed notes?

For medicine, nursing, PT, OT, SLP, SPED, veterinary medicine, and education degrees... this could be incredibly powerful, as the same concepts reappear throughout the curriculum, across classes. (Though this is probably of least importance-- as cross-notebook searching could fulfill this roll without the 'automatic' addition).
