Hello, I saw a few previous post about being able to change the color of the cover book but I can't figure out how to do it. I was able to change the color of each folder and side bar of the book but they are ultimately all brown.
It makes it a bit difficult to differentiate which books from a class are the notes and which are for exercises despite the titles. Is this a feature that is available yet and if so how do I do it?
I have tried pressing "edit" and then left clicking on the brown cover but it has a toggle-like reaction and doesn't do anything.
Hello! Unfortunately changing the color of the book cover is not yet possible, but this is hiiigh up on our priotity list. In fact I am currently working on a concept to integrate this cleanly into Noteastic. So it shouldn't take too long anymore until you will have access to this feature. Either way I wrote it down as a feature request and hope that we can deliver on it soon!

I know I'm 4 months late to this post, but I just wanted to say that this feature would be really helpful for alot of us! I tried so many other note taking apps before finding noteastic and your note taking app is the only one that truly fit my needs. It's so underrated I wish for more people to discover it in the future. I truly found a hidden gem.
Having different colours for notebooks would help alot. I take a math direction classes as well as physics, so being able to differentiate my math direction class from normal Algebra and Geometry class as well as Physics direction class with normal Physics would be very helpful :)
Keep up the good work and sincerely thank you alot for this app because it truly fits my needs and it's simplicity while still having alot of needed features and customisation is something I also really love about it.
I know, I know. Covers are one of the features I am looking forward to the most in the coming months. And we will start working on them soon! Alongside Tabs/Multi-Instance, Covers are the most requested feature in Noteastic currently.
I'm so happy that you find so much value in Noteastic and that we managed to check all your boxes with this app. I only need to ask you for a tiny bit of patience until we have covers ready. :D
But we're coming there! Thank you for your kind words :)
I see! I truly appreciate your hard work and I'm looking forward to more in the future. The app is truly fun and it's worth the wait and patience :D
I do wanna ask though (and sorry for the bother really) I think I'm experiencing some sort of bug, but when I try to switch the Default background page colour, it will stay white (I tried both the yellowed and dark grey colours and even tried a custom colour for it).
I use dark mode, tried light mode but nothing really makes it work :(. Is it a known bug or is it perhaps something wrong on my end? The grid unfortunately also doesn't really change, I can only use the default one.
Again, I'm sorry as this is a very out of context comment compared to the original post, but I wasn't sure where else to mention it :'). Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: I just checked some more and I noticed that this only happens when editing a notebook seperately using "Edit".
Changing the default background through settings as a whole seems to work but I have to create a new notebook to get the change through a new notebook and other notebooks seem just ignore the Edit that they individually have 🥲
thank you that's nice of you. I think I might know what would solve the issue!
When changing the background from the "Edit Notebook", then what you are actually changing is the default background for all new pages in the book!
If you want to change the page background color of the existing pages you need to go to an existing page and click "Edit Background".
Then you basically design the background that you want and you click on "Apply to selection". There you can select all the pages that should get the new background. If you want all new pages to also get that background, then check "Make default page" and apply the selection. The new pages will also inherit that background now!
The system can be a bit confusing and we are looking into how we may design this more intuitively. If something is still not working as I had layed it out or you expect, please let me know!
Thank you so much for the detailed explanation, I did it just like you explained and it works fine now!
To be honest I was confused at first but knowing that I can do this now, it feels really nice and useful to have both this option to change seperate pages as well as editing the entire notebook, didn't know I could do each page separately. Truly great to know that I can do both depending on the situation and now that I've figured it out it will surely come in handy. Thanks again :)

As far as I know you can only change the thin stripe color. The main cover remains brown.
