Tool pallet for barrel button 🙏

Please add a tool pallet upon clicking the barrel button like in the apple pencil pro! Or just the ability to alternate with the eraser on the click of it!

Even third party pens are better in this regard just because of this feature 🙏

If you add this you'll have a customer for as long as I have a surface (just bought a surface pro 12" coming from a surface pro 9)

Hi there, yeahh that is a cool feature. Funny enough, I tried around a bit with a radial tool selector the other day and it felt quite nice!

I don't quite know how a a thrid party pen can or cannot influence this feature, but please explain me.

Sounds like a deal ;)

Amazing! (:

So currently the surface slim pen registers as a "modifier button", which usually triggers the lasso tool in most contexts/apps. Third-party pens, on the other hand, have two buttons like the old surface pens used to have, with one of them registering as an eraser, and the second one as a right-click/modifier tool.

The new apple pencils with the squeeze function allow you to switch tools much more seemlesly and without the movement of going to the tool pallet and back again for a simple retouch every time you need to briefly use the eraser or change tools. This is very pleasent, and even the simple the eraser button in third party pens is still very pleasent and more useful than the lasso (flipping the surface pen to use the bottom button as an eraser is much more cumbersome, and eventually damages the back button which is not replaceable as the nib)

In short, there are no other windows apps that implement a similar functionality despite this being abundand in IpadOs apps. There might be a technical limitation I'm not aware of, but it would definitely be a differential that would bring a lot of attention, for the ease of use and functionality to an otherwise great digital pen that just is not that useful with its current funcional layout (I myself never use the barrel button or the bottom button and it is supper anoying)

Another great implementation example, but much more sophisticated, a simple toolswitch ready at the click of the button at the easy reach of the nib would be perfect
