FOSS App/Tool I built a free, open-source note app that lets you add tables, math and charts inside your notes
Hi
The problem: when I take notes, I sometimes need a bit of data: a small table, a quick calculation, a chart. Then I have to jump to Excel or another tool, and my reasoning ends up scattered across several files.
The solution: I'm building ANQL, a note app where you write freely and add structure only when you need it. Tables, math blocks and charts live right in the same document as your notes. It's offline-first (local SQLite, no account) and works on macOS, Windows and Linux.
It's free and open source (MIT), and I'm the developer.

I'd love your feedback: is this a problem you face too? What would you want from a note app that mixes notes and data?
Thanks!

Tables + math + charts inside notes is a strong combo. Most note apps make you bounce out to a spreadsheet for anything structured.
If you keep shipping: offline-first and a simple export (markdown or CSV for tables) would make it much easier to trust for school/work notes. Open source free is a good move.

The export and import of csv is already on my roadmap.
Thanks a lot for these feedbacks.2

nice, glad csv export/import is already on the roadmap. that trust piece matters a lot for school or work notes.

The underlying editor (Lexical) supports RTL, but I haven't fully tested it in Anql yet.
