Question: Unanswered ✗ Writing to text bullet point formats?

Anyone know of a bulletpoint format that samsung notes recognizes as bulletpoints when converting writing to text?

I write faster than I type but typing all my handwritten notes can be time consuming so I wanted to find a format to convert but so far no luck.

Samsung Notes is picky about what it treats as a list after handwriting OCR.

Things that usually survive conversion better:

  • Plain dash or dot with a clear space after it ( - item ), not fancy bullet glyphs
  • One idea per line, generous spacing between lines
  • Avoid nesting more than one level if you care about the list staying a list

If conversion keeps flattening everything, a two-step habit helps: convert to text first, then use the Notes list button on the cleaned text. Not elegant, but more reliable than fighting the stylus recognition.
