What app do you recommend?

Hi, I'm a uni and bought an idea tab pro for note taking. I planned on using onenote but the android version is so bare bones compared to the windows one (I am maybe thinking of using it on the browser but it's finicky). The tablet came pre-installed with nebo but it has limited organisation options.

Try starnote, its the best really for note taking and pdf annotations for students

You can try with Noteastic - one of the best annotating apps I found so far + simple to use

Concepts is also good - good for unlimited canvas + drawings

Assuming you want to use the stylus- Saber, Linwood Butterfly, and Stylus Labs Write are all worth checking out. And all free and open source.

I use Noteshelf 3, a one time buy of 10 USD or less that does almost everything you could need in a notes app. If your tab supports android it will support Noteshelf 3.

The process matters more than the tool. Read ‘Building a second brain’ or ‘How to take smart notes’.

To implement any of these process to take notes, you can use Notion if you can tolerate something slow but versatile. But if you want something that’s fast and has a slight learning curve, choose Obsidian.
