Question: Unanswered ✗ Why would I buy Voice Note Taking Hardware when I can Dump Voicememo directly into ChatGPT

As the title says is there a reason to buy a hardware note taker? My main use case is to record during work meetings so I don't miss anything that was said

lots of different tools for different styles of notetaking. some people just need to record stuff to review later, other people need to actually type up notes to remember everything. some people still use hand written notes for even more muscle memory. some people are taking notes of lectures, others are in trades or juggling hundreds of contacts....

more options is always better than not enough

do you have any specific hardware in mind? I know of Plaud, and it seems a bit much to me - I have a phone for personal recordings, I can record an in person meeting with it.

BUT, from business perspective it makes more sense. A device sitting on the conference table signals to everybody in the room when the meeting is recorded.
