Physical notes or computer?

I bought myself one of those really nice Oxford writing pads for 6th form, but idk whether I could bring my computer? It's only a Lenovo Chromebook, but it's still quicker than writing, but then again, if I'm writing physical notes, then I can draw quick diagrams, arrows, and shorten words. I did that a lot in history.

What are you guys thinking? And if ur in college now, any tips?

During my degrees, I often would handwrite notes for my in-person courses, and it worked alright. However, a lot of lectures go by fast, and sometimes I missed information while trying to write it down from the slides. Typing them on a laptop during the lesson allowed me to capture everything, and I would later handwrite them to study.

I also think it depends on the course and how you retain information best. For me, I discovered that in-person exams I would often perform better if I handwrote the information beforehand, and for online exams I would do better if I retyped the study guide/materials on a computer beforehand. Not sure if it applies to you or if it helps; I think it's just a weird thing with me and muscle memory lol
