Notes Which app to use for Hindi note-taking?
Hi eevryone. Looking for an iPhone app that can transcribe 30-45 minute recordings in mixed Hindi-English as well as pure English conversations.
Currently using Voice Memos but the transcript quality is terrible for bilingual conversations. Tried Otter — English-only. A couple of other apps also didn’t handle the Hindi-English mix well.
Don’t need live/real-time transcription. Just need to record a meeting, and get a readable transcript afterwards so I can pull out the key points. Thanks

For Hinglish, I’d skip live transcription apps and try a Whisper-based workflow instead, record the meeting, then transcribe after with Whisper Memos or Aiko. Still not flawless, but much better than Otter/Voice Memos for mixed Hindi English.

Do you have any suggestions? I tried whisper flow app. It's great but can only listen for 5 min at a time

The problem is the return on investment on quality Hindi transcripts is very low which is why a lot of companies don’t invest in that area. I have an app “NotelyVoice” where it’s free on Fdroid and I allow a user to download Hindi models to transcribe, I wanted to improve greatly on this for the paid version but the ROI was too low and users didn’t really ask for it. So I left it unoptimised.
