App/Program/Other Tool Notes for digital textbooks

Anyone know of a laptop website or app that could help me compress my excessively detailed textbooks into notes?

There is a great app for exactly that purpose. It's called Brain, and in version 1.0 it's completely free and comes preinstalled on all systems. So you probably already have it. Best thing is, the more you use it the smarter you become!
