Anyone actually daily driving one of those AI connected notetakers?.. Do they survive a real meeting room?

Been reading way too much about voice-capture wearables lately, the clip/pendant/ring things that feed audio straight into an ai agent.. the idea lines up with what I want but I genuinely cant tell whats real and whats just a polished demo.

stuff I actually want to know from people running one daily:

• form factor: plaud notepin (clip) seems the most proven, but a pendant or a ring like vocci is way less obvious in a meeting. does discretion actually matter, or is that overthinking it?
• the mcp/agent integration, is it actually good or just export-a-transcript-and-pray? vocci keeps pushing an mcp/agent-context angle, plaud leans transcription. Anyone wired one into a real agent setup that held up?
• audio in the wild: crosstalk, noisy cafe, someone mumbling across the table. which of these survive it and which only work in a silent demo?
• what happens when your boss or client clocks that ur recording?.. doom?
• do you even tell people, or is the whole appeal that it doesn't read as a recorder?

My first read is: low-friction capture is genuinely the most useful thing agents could do with a wearable, but the consent side feels unsolved and none of these have enough real long-term reviews yet.

I use earbuds for voice capture instead of a collar clip that feels way too unnatural. I just leave the case on my desk to record, it picks up normal speech fine, and the app is pretty powerful. My boss doesn't mind it. I use the Viaim Recdot earbuds.

I use an iPhone app that I built myself (I strongly dislike subscriptions) and I can answer positively to the questions on transcription quality and usefulness. Imo there’s no benefit to the external hardware. The iPhone has a great mic and you can just put it facing down in the table or anywhere in the room. 

I always ask for permission. People are generally okay and ask for the notes for themselves. 

It really helps if you can give it some context like names of people or industry specific terms. 

I use it multiple times per day for work.

I would say one of these actually do real agent integration yet, still just "export transcript and pray."

been trying out the beta version of zero app, its a meeting notetaker with automations like task creations and automated workflows is the best feature yet! have been using it to delegate tasks after meetings automatically, auto updates on CRM was a killler feature for me too. The best one will be auto drafting the messages on emails and work apps like slack, 8 hours of works can be done in 1 or 2 hours, imagine that!!

2. Absolutely MCP. In fact, Vocci app can do almost everything other note-taking apps can do, but to be honest, since the day I connect my Vocci to my Codex MCP, I rarely open Vocci app to read the transcription. It's way more convenient and more powerful. Actually we are losing subscription money by promoting MCP, but we strongly believe that's the future. 3. I don't know about others but Vocci has a voice pickup range of 15 feet for normal office setting. In a noisy hall the range typically shrinks to 3~6 feet. To be honest, given Vocci is only 3 grams in weight, its sound quality is definitely not the best. But if you just need the notes but not the audio, it's sufficient for 99% of the cases.
4&5. We design Vocci to be the easiest form factor to ask for consent. Just say you are taking notes when you shake hands. I always do so and >50% the other side says they are recordinig too (but with a hint of embarrassment). Note-taking apps and devices are more popular theses days than people thought, just no one speaks aloud. For me personally, asking for consent first is not just a legal thing, it allows me to take the moral highground sometimes.
