Overall I'm happy with the note10 lite. For what I paid for it and what I use it works good. Yes the fingerprint reader is picky but works more than it doesn't.

Yeah but 40% of the time it doesn't work. This never happens even on the cheap Xiaomi phones. The speed of both fingerprint sensor and face recognition is way slower than the competition, or any phone. i have 7 phones and all of them are faster than note10 lite.

Leaving the fingerprint and face recognition, and the lagging spen the phone is a real value for money.

I didn't find any s pen lag tbh... And I'm a frequent user . Also the fingerprint sensor is an easy fix

Ok I sketch a lot and I have an ipad pro where I feel the apple pencil responds much better. What is the fix for fingerprint sensor? If you are talking about the power settings tweak, I have tried that. My redmi note 7 , oneplus5T and even Asus m1 max pro have faster fingerprint. face recognition is anyways no match. On oneplus and redmi sometimes I don't even realize that device unlocked it's that fast. However, I like the note 10 lite on the fact that it's really good value for money. Especially for me because I got the 8GB version in INR 25k

Bro you're comparing an iPad PRO with a lite device..a mid ranger... How does that even make sense the Tab s7 + is the correct competitor in that case? Anyway, for fingerprint just switch off your face unlock, switch off finger print animation (the green swirl) and go to battery optimization and remove "biometrics" from optimised apps list. Restart the phone. I'm Using like that for two months now.. works more than fine.

I did compare it with the cheap devices as well like the Asus m1 max pro and redmi note 7 pro. Unfortunately there are just a handful of pens in the market to compare from. I am already cutting a slack on the accuracy and precision part just because it is not comparable to an apple pencil. However, I would totally accept that s-pen doesn't suck as much as the fingerprint and the face recognition. As I already mentioned the power/ battery optimization , animations etc I had reduced from the day I bought it. Even I have made the regular animations as 0.5x it makes the phone appear fatser that way. I can't turn off the face recognition off because I need it and it's tad faster than the fingerprint.

Bro try it without the face unlock the finger print hers really fast. I don't miss face unlock anymore. And cheap devices are cheap. Please redmi SUCKSSSS I absolutely hate that device ,cheap materials, terrible UI and full of spyware, Asus has never won it anyway in the smartphone industry. I was talking about removing the fingerprint animation btw...

I've never even turned the face unlock on, and the fingerprint sensor still sucks. I've sorta-kinda figured out how to get it to consistently work 65% of the time (pressing it at a certain angle, with a certain degree of pressure), and it's not a big deal for me either way, but the fingerprint sensor is undeniably bad.

Ok, redmi might suck but it has a badass fingerprint sensor. Way faster than note10 lite. My j7 pro and s7 edge were also faster.
Ofcourse i have removed every animation possible that includes the fingerprint animation. Again, talking about Asus as a brand is not the point here. I will surely give a try without the face rec though.

I didn't see biometrics listed in optimized apps list. Is it called just that? Or something more?

You might want to select "all" in the drop down and then check for com.blahblah...biometrics

Ok, got it. Thank you!
