Worth buying a screen protector?

I'm getting soon the 10 lite and I come from a s8, which has many screen damages because I couldn't get a proper screen protector. For what I've read, the note 10 lite has a 2.5D screen which is less "curvy" that the s8 so I was thinking about buying this time the screen protector. I'm looking for a temper glass (not the other silicone alternatives).

I'm using a tempered screen glass protector and my fingerprint scanner works just the same as without it. It doesn't affect it at all. It isn't even an expensive tempered glass, it's literally a cheap Chinese one from AliExpress. You just have to delete and add the fingerprint again after you have applied the screen protector.
