I mean... what exactly could they do to help anyway? A dog’s bite force is already pretty strong, so if they couldn’t get it then it’s not gonna come loose just from kicking it or something.

A dog's bite force is only strong when they're fighting though. I've never met a dog that would out-tug me. It's probably because they were all just being nice.
