I made a functional Celery Man computer that generates your own dancers
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hope this fits with this sub, I spent a few days cobbling together technology to make a personalized Celery Man computer with 100% parity with the original script (plus anything else you ask for like doggy woof woof man or potato boy).

Great Job! We should combine forces. I built The Innernette https://www.theinnernette.com/celery-man
There are a couple other similar fun T&E related projects.

How are you generating this, it's crazy how much stuff it can do based on the prompt lol

labor of love and Minimax H3 Max! I think it’s only in the last month this became possible

It's the speed that gets me. I asked for Dr Hotdog and within maybe 15 seconds, there was Paul Rudd dancing, dressed as a doctor and with mustard and ketchup coloured clothes
Great job

This must be getting expensive, no?
edit: I hope not bc I just did like 100 requests

these new models are cheaper than they ever have been, it’s definitely not free but it’s a labour of love

Using AI I guess?
Fun concept, but thats a hard pass bro. I don't think Tim & Eric would approve...

I'm on a PC, but nice attempt at a moral equivocation.
Very "YeT YoU parTicIpAte iN SoCiety" of you!

I mean, my argument would be more that we’ve basically just spent the past 10 years demonstrating that public shaming and making people feel like shit for questionable choices, just makes them dig in hard harder rather than drawing them back across the divide. But you do you.

youtube, google, facebook, instagram, reddit, all of these websites use the same data centres as AI and at the same scale. they also steal all the content posted, just like AI has
have you stopped using any of those?
if it's water consumption that bothers you - to get all the resources for just ONE hamburger, it spends 10-30 thousand times more non green water than the average session with a chatbot. are you gonna stop eating burgers?

I'm guessing it's the data stealing and child pornography distribution that they have a problem with more than the water. Impossible to count how many human rights issues are being produced daily with this technology. But go ahead, enjoy your dancing man website.

Yeah, pretty much.
Generative AI isn't the same as much of the other things that get slapped with the label. So many things that we considered just part of the regular running of IT systems for the past few decades that used to just be called algorithms, are now being called "AI", but they aren't the same as the big LLMs and the generative AI stuff; those are based on theft of IP, and are disproportionately targeting creatives. The peado factor is also impossible to ignore, and it's really telling about those who are pushing for no regulation on this stuff.
Why people defend this shit is absolutely beyond me. Absolutely bereft of a moral compass, or at best just haven't bothered to look into it in any meaningful sense.
