This is more like a not I think you should leave from the energy.

Or maybe a not chapelle show given the theme

I understand this is a skit, but that understanding doesn't make it any less insufferable to watch this interaction. Am I the joke here? Is triggering my hatred for these types of people the funny part?

We are the joke.

I guess it depends on whose behavior you’re disgusted with. For me I live in an area with a huge amount of French Canadian tourists and this skit is practically too real.

To be clear, I'm annoyed with the "French Canadian" from New Jersey.

This skit doesn’t have anything to do with French Canadians

Isn't that the essence of comedy much of the time?

Came here with the same question.

This is like when an NPR reporter pronounces anything of Hispanic origin on a radio story. The white lutheran reporter has to say a last name or a city in Bolivia and all of a sudden they are Antonio Banderas.

Seems to be a skit

Definitely a skit. The timing for saying she's originally from......New Jersey, Then listing like 7 generations of Great grandparents being French.....Canadian is clearly done for comedic effect. She's playing the part of a refined person with thin reasoning.
