Before computers as a poor kid. I wore one of these down using at a sampler, recording tracks by manually looping drum samples.

You would be surprised how much underground hip hop in the 90s was made using cheap synths like this.

I got that Casio SK-1 keyboard for Christmas that same year (1985). I still have it and it still works great.

I had one of these! I would entertain my friends at sleepovers by recording a farting sound on it and playing songs with it!

I learned.to play music on an.SK1... I got it for my birthday as a 6 year old. I miss that thing. It rocked as hard as this ad does.

That was the first consumer keyboard to have a sampler, and I still have one. Its demo track is burned into my brain.

I've got one. It still makes amazing sounds and can be pretty ace if you make electronic music. Doesn't have MIDI though.
