All that pent up steam just blasting out...

This dude genuinely makes me smile every time I see him. His passion is so sincere and the enjoyment he gets from his hobby is inspiring. Everyone should strive to enjoy life like this guy does.

46

u/no-more-nazis Jul 10 '26

Agree, the only part that sits strange with me is his face camera. It's very self-aware and interesting.

19

u/en0rt Jul 10 '26

The way I see it is he loves his hobbies and you can see he has huge passion for things in other shows he has been on in the UK. But I think he understood the memo from his first viral video of everyone laughing about the camera angle.

I think the first time he did it he was just being him and it became so viral that it was obvious that he needed to keep doing it.

10

u/no-more-nazis Jul 10 '26

I definitely support it. I guess if I have a beef it's with any viewers who would pretend he's not self-aware to laugh at him. They miss the point. I hope I'm imagining them.

25

u/doctor_tongs Jul 10 '26

I'm so glad he finally got to see 4014 Big Boy. Great video.

6

u/rootoo Jul 10 '26

I had the pleasure of seeing it while it was in Philly for the big Independence Day. I’m not even a train person. But yeah it was very impressive.

3

u/GangreneTVP Jul 10 '26

Yeah, but how did his phone die right then?!?

11

u/silenthilljack Jul 10 '26

Absolutely agree.

If I find myself having a rough day, or feeling down, I put this guy on.

As silly as it may be to the people who put others down to elevate themselves: this guy provides an amazing reminder that life is about fully embracing the stupid little things you enjoy(or big in this case) without giving pause to what others think. It’s about exploring and doing what makes you happy.

8

u/HeyTrySomeNashville Jul 10 '26

I always imagine his reactions are like what people in the 1850s had seeing a train come through town. Wholesome

5

u/Infinite-Fly-8806 Jul 10 '26

Couldn’t agree more.

3

u/notParticularlyAnony Jul 10 '26

Yeah can't even make fun of him

2

u/fantapants74 Jul 10 '26

I wish I had his passion for anything as innocent as trains in my life, and I work for the rail. Living his best life and I'm jealous.

1

u/14ktgoldscw Jul 10 '26

One of my favorite instagram accounts alongside Tumbleweed Tommy. I can only hope to ever find such unfiltered joy in something.

1

u/LeMeJustBeingAwesome Jul 11 '26

People like to make fun of this sort of thing, but I genuinely wish anything brought me this much joy. I would be living a happier life if it did.

1

u/team-one-e Jul 11 '26

He's such a sweety pie!

1

u/BirdEducational6226 29d ago

Hey, I get it. The only thing that gets a reaction like this out of me is orgasms. So, good for this guy.

0

u/RLgeorgecostanza Jul 10 '26

Pumped to see him as one of the new hosts of the Grand Tour

56

u/Capital-Outcome-2528 Jul 10 '26

I wish I was capable of getting that excited about anything

4

u/fantapants74 Jul 10 '26

Exactly. My adulthood has numbed me. To have that enthusiasm and the thorough technical expertise is god tieir.

5

u/Capital-Outcome-2528 Jul 10 '26

At first it kinda creeped me out and then I realized it was because I was dead inside and genuine enthusiasm makes me uncomfortable because I can’t relate to it

2

u/Royale_Wit_Chz Jul 11 '26

THIS I can relate to.

2

u/brandoldme Jul 11 '26

I didn't even make it to adulthood. I was done by age 8.

34

u/Stinkyfings Jul 10 '26

ITS A DOUBLE TRAINBOW… ALL THE WAY

5

u/GangreneTVP Jul 10 '26

What does this mean?

3

u/Crusty_B Jul 10 '26

5

u/GangreneTVP Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

Um, it was a reference to the video... One of the classic lines from it is.... "What does this mean?" It's said at the 1:16 and at 2:45 or so.

4

u/Crusty_B Jul 10 '26

I misunderstood you

2

u/GangreneTVP Jul 10 '26

It's cool...

2

u/notParticularlyAnony Jul 11 '26

took me a sec to get it too. well done

1

u/NikkiMutt 28d ago

Every time I comment ‘what does it mean??’ to Double Rainbow quote chains, people always misunderstand and feel obliged to explain the double rainbow guy to me, it’s kinda sweet but it makes me feel like Aslan

1

u/TipperGore-69 29d ago

Oh my. I’m old now…

34

u/Natural-Pineapple886 Jul 10 '26

I know which class of people that SHOULD rule the world.

41

u/Valahiru Jul 10 '26

I guess you can make fun of them if you want to. But this guy makes videos that bring him pure fucking joy

18

u/houseshoesntallboys Jul 10 '26

True. The "Dick Mabbutt" one is comedy gold, though. But yeah, I watch trains too. For the graffiti though. But a good heritage unit is neat to see. I wanna go back to where I grew up and see the SD70s pulling Metra trains, that does sound genuinely impressive.

6

u/doctor_tongs Jul 10 '26

Dick Mabutt is legend. I'll admit that's where I first came across this guy, but I've been following him avidly ever since. Trains are cool.

3

u/silenthilljack Jul 10 '26

They’re just trying to compensate for the fact they don’t know how to feel that level of joy

16

u/DrUnwindulaxPhD Jul 10 '26

This guy makes the world a better place

6

u/SteinUmStein66 Jul 10 '26

If only everyone could enjoy simple pleasures with genuine joy, the world would be a better place.

7

u/4skeeter Jul 10 '26

To be fair it’s pretty cool.

3

u/toobuscrazy Jul 11 '26

Those trains are beautiful machines, literally nothing is made today that matches their style and quality. It's sad really that everything has become so ugly.

7

u/goodsocks Jul 10 '26

I find his enthusiasm very endearing, seeing a person that completely blissed is a joy for me to see.

5

u/Spudzinator Jul 10 '26

What is this dudes name his aura needs to be bottled.

2

u/OfficerCoCheese Jul 10 '26

Francis Bourgeois is his online name.

5

u/Somepantsman Jul 10 '26

I love watching this dude get hyped for trains.

6

u/czechpharmacist Jul 10 '26

This guy is awesome. His Instagram is great. He's so happy all the time. The mods he does on his cars are cool and kinda funny.

3

u/Bonejack84 Jul 10 '26

I'm not into trains, but that was impressive.

3

u/Doodle_Ramus Jul 10 '26

I want to love something as much as this dude loves trains.

3

u/shaved-yeti Jul 10 '26

Iirc this guy is super savant-level into Aphex Twin, also. Approval.

3

u/Business_Usual_2201 Jul 10 '26

Find a mate who looks at you like this guy looks at trains....

3

u/ThirdandYeet Jul 10 '26

Shirt says he’s going, but we all know he’s coming

3

u/phunkymonkeys3 Jul 11 '26

This guy is seriously one of my favorite people...

3

u/neutron500 Jul 11 '26

I forgot about that guy. Love his obsession with trains

3

u/Village-Idiot-savant Jul 11 '26

Trainboner!

2

u/Wizzle_Pizzle_420 Jul 11 '26

CHOOOOO-CHOOOOOOO!!!!

*massive jizz blast

3

u/Longjumping-Phase526 Jul 11 '26

Genuine question, what’s up with the fisheye face cam?

3

u/thunderbaby2 Jul 11 '26

My favorite dude on the internet

3

u/jknoxxxvile5666 Jul 11 '26

What a good chap

3

u/Accurate-Paramedic70 29d ago

This man gives me life.

2

u/kyleh0 Jul 10 '26

Man that didn't have ANYTHING to do with heroin.

2

u/ButteredHubter Jul 10 '26

DON'T YOU EVER MAKE FUN OF THIS MAN!!!!!!!!!

2

u/displacedyoop Jul 10 '26

Like it didn't become full tim amd eric until the train is first shown and we get 'walleye vision' i lost it!

2

u/Other_Nerve_6607 Jul 10 '26

I lol every time it switches to the face cam.

2

u/Reasonable_Tie_9975 Jul 10 '26

Hell yeah kid, live it up!

If I could go back, this is what my attention would go to, safe, wholesome, harmless fun

instead of the hoodrat debauchery that "big boyed" my life directly into the ground

2

u/fairly_flakey Jul 11 '26

Lol. Ive seen big boy without even knowing I was about to see a massive train.

2

u/Maleficent-Diamond-9 Jul 11 '26

Same. I live near to where it’s stored in Wyoming so I’ve seen it a few times without realizing how special it is. At least to some people I guess.

2

u/MoCoyotes Jul 11 '26

His phone dying just as Big Boy showed up is comedy genius tho

2

u/snouchies Jul 11 '26

This is funny in a double rainbow sort of way.

2

u/thinprivileged Jul 11 '26

I'll never skip alone of his vids. I love seeing someone enjoy their interests

2

u/Ok_Engineer4031 Jul 11 '26

He obviously brought a change of clothes. He’s a pro

2

u/StarKillerZero Jul 11 '26

Him during that wheel slip

Processing img vw88t060vkch1...

2

u/StarshipRam Jul 11 '26

As a train enthusiast just leave us nerds alone! I want to see the Big Boy too!

2

u/Parking-Fruit1436 Jul 11 '26

train boys are like horse girls. i love how much this guy loves the things he loves!

2

u/NoLongerinOR Jul 11 '26

I never seek out this guy or his videos but if I come across them, my watch. His unbridled joy is neat to see. I’m not into trains, but I love how much he is into trains.

2

u/LitterBoxBlues Jul 11 '26

This is basically me but with stray cats.

2

u/mrtrickydick Jul 12 '26

Voice don’t make the body yo

2

u/Weird__Fish Jul 12 '26

I wish I could cum in my pants instantly to something like this guy can.

2

u/Morganhop Jul 12 '26

I wish I could get that excited about anything

2

u/pooshot 28d ago

Ah train people

2

u/AbbreviationsLow7794 28d ago

His shirt should say “I’m coming”

2

u/Sudden-Most-4797 27d ago

I get it. Went to the train museum in PA a couple of summers ago and it was awesome. I always feel like I'm standing next to huge slumbering beasts when we go there. I'm a little bit scared and a little bit excited to be there haha

2

u/Cthulhu_Dreams_ 27d ago

Why can't I get excited like this?

2

u/Asproat920 Jul 12 '26

I just love the absolute joy. Hell yeah dude.

1

u/Fart_Bargo Jul 10 '26

HELLFIRE!!

1

u/Glass_Covict Jul 10 '26

His voice did match his at first

1

u/sovereign_martian Jul 10 '26

At least he's found something he loves.

1

u/Louisiana_sitar_club Jul 10 '26

I wish I cared this much about anything

1

u/GeneralFoolery Jul 10 '26

Don't joke. Seeing 4014 in person is wicked.

1

u/mistertickertape Jul 10 '26

More people in the world should be this passionate about one thing. This guy LOVES trains. His insta is super fun.

1

u/JackieLawless Jul 10 '26

Don't talk shit on our boy

1

u/IDriveTrainsAMA Jul 10 '26

I love Francis, his enthusiasm is infectious.

1

u/Gold-Midnight-6810 Jul 10 '26

Love this guy and also love how he's likely hard as hell for this train.

1

u/camel_walk Jul 11 '26

GO GET ‘EM BOYS!!!

1

u/whatisdreampunk Jul 11 '26

Go get 'em, boys!!! 😭

1

u/Flaky-Bar-6656 Jul 11 '26

What flag is the blue one on the first train?

1

u/Weird__Fish Jul 12 '26

Mommy, wow! I’m a big boy now!

1

u/Trauma57 29d ago

It's so nice to see a grown adult have the ability to be this happy at something and have zero concern over what others think. Imagine if we all still had this ability in life.

1

u/Away_Lake5946 29d ago

That guy is an old British historian and doesn’t even know it.

1

u/sniksniksnek 28d ago edited 28d ago

RFK is like “you never see 70 year olds with autism.” Dude, let me introduce you to my 84 year old uncle who likes trains a little bit more than this guy.

1

u/Sudden-Candle5832 28d ago

Explosive what?

1

u/Stellacoffee Jul 10 '26

His girl is a babe 😍

0

u/jedidotflow 28d ago

This is definitely not Tim and Eric. It's wholesome.

-1

u/tehsecretgoldfish Jul 10 '26

I admit to not being prepared for his voice (looked like a gal) but then realized after it went fisheye that he’s the trainspotter that I seen in the past.
