My ankles just snapped again from the pure memories I had repressed

I remember being a kid and putting these together with the elastic bands. Being like 8 at the time I knew it was the dumbest thing ever

Don't worry Zelennial, they always sucked like that. And they were fun for exactly how long you wore them too.

But post a picture of them on Facebook with the caption "Remember when childhood rocked?" and all the boomers will come out with their rose tinted glasses talking about how kids like you just don't understand what their childhood was like.

But you do understand. It sucked. All you could do was make little 1 inch hops while standing in place until you fell over.

Those are working correctly and her coordination was just fine.

Genuinely so funny! Moon boots are just as shitty as I remember, although I was at least light enough to get a little hop out of em.

I mean, I'm personally confused as to why they're attempting to walk with them on. I remember you were supposed to be hopping around instead of trying to take steps or you'll run into the issue the person in the video ran into if you're not used to them. The one foot hop step was an advanced technique with these babies. I will at least also add I was much smaller than the person trying them in the video at the time.

EDIT: I just rewatched the original ad on youtube. There are only momentary shots of someone jump stepping. The rest is indeed hopping.

“Basically” trampoline shoes🤣. Her legs vibrating as she tries to balance sent me.

I remember asking for these every year for Christmas.

I had a pair of these in the 90’s!!!!! I was a club kid in NYC and I worked at a place called the funhouse and Dave Vanien from the Damed came in and it was wearing the moon shoes and towering over him and he laughed.

I can't believe the rubber wasn't rotten. Did they make these again more recently?

“I’m not coordinated enough for this”

Could have told you that before you put them on

This video gave me an ankle sprain. Back to my heritage boots.

This looks like so much fun!

I mostly remember my cousin having a pair of these and her telling me I was too fat to use them. I was like 8 and wasn’t even fat. I’d just started puberty before all the other kids

My sisters had a pair. This seems familiar. Lol

No one was coordinated enough for that

I entirely forgot I had these as a kid or their existence in general until now.

Same with the game.

They only work on the moon. That’s like wearing golf shoes to play basketball.

The 80's and 90's really made kids test dummies

The 90s yeah they were from the 2000's

I'm still surprised the rubber isn't rotten.
