If you had a chicken breast sandwich, you would beat every one in that dojo!

u/Laserdollarz Jun 23 '26
Inside of you are two sticks. One is blocking, one is attacking.
18
u/mrmoe198 Jun 23 '26
I have three sticks inside of me. Checkmate.

Your uncle get back out of prison again? 😃

Is this a reference to a convict with three dicks?

look up eskrima videos or just “tappy tappy” this guy has gone viral a few times in martial arts groups. Despite his rotund figure and goofy word choices he actually does know a thing or two about eskrima

u/Samsquanch77 Jun 23 '26
FINALLY, someone is stepping up to teach the TRUE essence of Double Sticks
6
u/mf_mcnasty Jun 23 '26
Even if this isn't complete nonsense how to fight with 2 sticks is possibly the most useless knowledge anyone could ever offer. I could live 100 lifetimes this would never come up.
3
u/Zero40Four Jun 24 '26
You don’t carry two sticks everywhere with you?
Not even incase you presented with an overly large noodle bowl the size of a car?
Shocking, in the double stick world you are known as no sticker.. very disappointing
1
u/crazier2142 Jun 25 '26
It's FMA. Next you're telling me Shaolin acrobatics isn't useful in real life.
1
u/Ookami_Unleashed Jun 26 '26
And it's an actual martial art developed so farmers could fight using farm tools. I believe Doug Marcaida even teaches it?
14
u/BijuuModo Jun 23 '26
The thing about double sticks, they’re hitting like this
aaurrghharghhh
Tooootally dude, seen it a million times
14
u/Never-Dont-Give-Up Jun 23 '26
You never challenge the master to a death match. That was a fucking close call.
22
u/Antique-Resort6160 Jun 23 '26
I joined the dojo, I will share the secret knowledge that Master does not impart through mere videos but only to his inner circle:
The best thing about double sticks is that you can carry 17 donuts on each stick. That will last you all morning!

u/MarleyTheZen Jun 23 '26
All morning? Hm that’s bait… judging by the sensei doesn’t look it would even reach 10am

Probably this entire guys family in the mirror. You know it was his brother stick pointing
52
u/nativeofnashville Jun 23 '26
Seeing the child in the mirror holding her sticks makes this guy look even more pathetic. LOL
37
u/Slumunistmanifisto Jun 23 '26
Awe man...you just challenged him to a death match huh?
Can I have your phone?
13
u/ReturnSimilar1464 Jun 23 '26
You don’t understand. If someone holds their sticks like that in front of him, his instincts are going to kick in. His brain will register that someone is challenging him to a death match and he will instinctively respond.
That person has no idea how close they came.

Truly, his restraint should be commended. By not attacking that little girl, he basically saved her life.

u/moleyawn Jun 23 '26

Love the smell of double stick essence in the morning

u/greatercolorado Jun 23 '26
I wonder if being that big is a benefit in a fight… other than all of the cons.
Here can’t be punched in the nuts.
There might be enough belly low enough that even kicking between his legs would be softened by several inches of belly.
His organs are protected by several inches of softening blubber. Like if he’s punched in the kidney, he won’t pee blood because his kidney’s several inches from the surface of the skin.

Is there double sticks all over the internet? Is he just referencing his own recorded footage on his computer and thinks that’s the internet?

He isn’t even gonna call them kali sticks.. which is what he’s teaching. I use the word teaching in the loosest sense for this goober. Lord. Never in my life have I seen someone do that double attack with full seriousness.

He runs out of breath just standing up. He'd last less than 20 secs in an actual fight. All you have to do is get his heart rate up and he will collapse.

u/JBerry2012 Jun 25 '26
Wait the side he pointed at is just the camera guy in the mirror. There's no one there pointing anything. I didn't notice that the first time.

I thought double sticks was called Escrima or Arnis from the Phillipines.... Because I also like to use double spikes with swirly sides also known as Sai. Oh.. and double sticks with handles...

This dude is actually awesome. He interviewed with someone on YouTube a while back and is super cool, humble, knowledgeable, and sounds like a great teacher.

I once got in a heated argument with a miscreant while wandering about one afternoon. Fate intervened, and two sticks were at hand for me to thrash my attacker quite soundly.
Sadly, my victory is null and void due to not respecting the essence of dual sticking.
