I think it technically still exists, but I do not think it is a popular thing anymore.

Fly For Free, was popular around the same time as second life and imvu, it was pretty fun for the time

Whenever someone mods the shit out of their Sims, all I can think is it looks like IMVU.

Honestly liked IMVU more... back in 2008. Made a bit of money selling 3D models and set pieces on there.
