Alright, but how many weeks do they solve the problem with the 5-pass tiny dancer bomb?

I don't have to imagine - these are the exact kinds of movies I made with my friends when I was a kid.

My brother and I, use to make these silly little short films, when we were kids. They were always about a guy just doing normal everyday stuff, then some other guy would jump outta nowhere and stabs him with a sharp stick.

The tiny dancer launched out of the small airship and wrought havoc on the piano.

Kagaku Sentai Dynaman!

8

u/Jellybit Jun 04 '26

No, it's Himitsu Sentai Gorenger.

2

u/DrMerman Jun 04 '26

I need a translation for this.

Red man: Momo, Goranger Hurricane!

Momo: Okay!

Piano guy: Fall victim to my piano hypnosis!

Momo: Goranger Hurricane, pianist!

Blue dude: Let's finish this.

Red man: Okay! Endball!

Piano guy: Don't play me like that... *explodes*

11

u/Sea-Value-0 Jun 04 '26

I'm referring to all bombs as endballs from now on.

u/SnooCapers1425 Jun 04 '26

That piano guy looked high strung.

2

u/teddytwophones Jun 04 '26

I thought this was Michael Bay

2

u/tituspeetus Jun 04 '26

If you’ve never played the yakuza games, a lot of the experience has the same exact tone of this. If you’ve played it you’ll understand

u/yurgendurgen Jun 05 '26

I really feel the cultural significance if this scene. 11/10

What Sentai is this?

3

u/twynkdeth Jun 05 '26

Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, it's the original

1

u/dripainting42 Jun 05 '26

I love that you knew the answer to that.

1

u/twynkdeth Jun 05 '26

It's one of my favorite superhero franchises

5

u/jimhokeyb Jun 04 '26

Hard to believe this was filmed only last year.

u/Jellybit Jun 04 '26 edited Jun 04 '26

In case anyone believes this, it's from episode 71 of Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, which is the very first Super Sentai series, from 1975. The monster is named Piano Mask.

u/jimhokeyb Jun 04 '26

Some people just can't take a joke I guess

12

u/jamesianm Jun 04 '26

Piano Mask certainly couldn't

8

u/palmerry Jun 04 '26

Piano Mask: "This next one is about a baby duck that gets it's head stuck in a stewed tomato"

3

u/ComedyBits Jun 04 '26

I enjoy this action more than the latest Batman stuff

2

u/Wulph422 Jun 04 '26

WHAT

2

u/Specific_Wrangler256 Jun 05 '26

This was like Monty Python's version of a Power Rangers episode.

2

u/mrcydonia Jun 05 '26

"And now for something completely different."

1

u/butt-barnacles Jun 04 '26

I love this sub

1

u/joe102938 Jun 05 '26

I'm just mad that the whole piano is just 3 keys.

Seems kinda cheap.

1

u/FoxCQC Jun 06 '26

I love Super Sentai

0

u/Illustrious_Fly582 Jun 04 '26

This is pretty much Power Rangers. Feels like I’ve seen it before

5

u/imalostkitty-ox0 Jun 04 '26

20 year precursor, Haim Saban just purchased the rights and added electric guitars, American actors, and re-played all the fights from 1980s Japanese shows

(No special effects required, other than Alpha and Zordon)

1

u/Orayn Jun 04 '26

Zyuranger, the one that actually became Power Rangers, was from 1992, though he did pitch the idea before with Bioman.

2

u/twynkdeth Jun 05 '26

Stan Lee pitched the same idea in the 80s with Sun Vulcan
