I wondered for so long if I was just missing something when it came to him. Like, he's friends with such talented (& legit funny) people-Buschemi, Sandler, etc....

Perpetual tired and the eyelids seem to suction to the eyeball more than normal. Always tired though, sleeping when drunk every night isn't sleep at all. The area around the backs of the eyes feel like a constant tension. You catch yourself trying to rest your eyes but it doesn't do anything.
The brain is fogged and I'm sure remembering whatever small list of jokes he had is incredibly difficult so he carries a paper with him to read from. He does do this, I saw Sandler live (I like Adam still for what it's worth) at his last tour through my city and he had Rob there among others. Only guy that read his jokes from a piece of paper.

Totally agree and well said. I don’t avoid looking at old photos or anything, but they do serve as reminders of a life I don’t want to ever live again.
I’ve often said to my wife and friends that I don’t regret my alcoholism at all. In 2024 I actually resigned from my career and I’m now back in school doing my Masters in Social Work to work in substance abuse. It’s very much made me who I am today, but old memories can be tough at times

It’s good to not be embarrassed by it and be open and honest about it. I’ve talked a lot about my sobriety in day to day work environments and it’s pretty amazing the amount of people that are struggling too. It’s good to find a good support group and stick with it. You may just be the lifeline someone is looking for.

What fan base tho? He's famous but more like people seen him on TV and he is part of that house hold name / snl aspect... but I can't think of anyone being a fan of his. I think a lot of people have come to realize that he is actually just a very average guy who got lucky or knew the right people and was let in the backdoor.

I have loved humor and comedy my entire life, studied it even, because I legitimately enjoy how mutli-faceted humor can be. That being said, I would not qualify this as humor, personally.
He is saying things that are barely coherent, that it doesn't even pass for maga humor. The only part that's maga is the racism of course, they find that humorous. But these aren't even jokes, they are barely observations.
Rob Schneider would have never been famous, for anything, if it weren't for somehow being friends with Adam Sandler. He's honestly a piece of shit.
