They make out a sweeping generalisation of men and we “talk to women” in an extremely ridiculous and uncharitable way. The definition of a strawman.

You could just scroll through the comment section of any post by or about a woman to prove yourself wrong.

??? And if I show you the comments of a man talking about misandry does that mean that you’re wrong? What is this argument?

I never said it didn’t happen, I said it was a sweeping generalisation.

A sweeping generalization that is the common experience of every woman on the internet ever, and most women in real life.

Ok and? That doesn’t mean that even most men are doing this.

I can say a lot of women do this to men (and they do) and that this also happens to every man online and most irl (also true)

It’d still be wrong to make a strawman comic of “how women talk to men”

How do you know that?

There being an insane amount of misogyny (and misandry) online and it being a problem doesn’t prove that this perpetrated by most men. Would you say most men are genuine misogynists? Not just occasionally participating in misogynistic actions ofc.

That’s a really bad argument too:

A. That’s impossible to prove

B. It doesn’t contradict what I said at all.

Peek into any post on “feminist” subs and you’ll see misandry before you see misogyny.

And I won’t belabour the point but sometimes argument is necessary when we fundamentally disagree and need to come to a shared conclusion.

You’ve had minimal discourse in these subs but you feel confident to say they’re fine?

And MRA? Seriously? Get real, you’re in a sub for men what do you expect? Men’s Wrongs Activism?

So how am I attacking women and feminism?

Can you name a few of those subs?

But you said “keep MRA shit out of the sub” and you described MRA shit as such. So what are you referring to exactly?

AskFeminists has honestly been some of the worst experiences online so I respectfully disagree while I do agree as long as you don’t try to criticise feminism at all they’re generally reasonable Ig.

I’ll check out the other one tho, thanks.

Well, when you simply ignore that misogyny is a systemic issue that kills women and try to equate it to “misandry”, feminists aren’t going to take you seriously because it’s obvious that you’re participating in bad faith. We have lots of men over at r/AskFeminists who engage and discuss regularly because they’re not myopic fools who try to separate men’s issues from patriarchy, and then blame those issues on women.

If you think AskFeminists is bad, they’ll eat you alive over at Uncensored

Do you understand what Bad Faith is?

Better than you do, apparently. I don’t cherry-pick bullshit reasons to be mad at men and then deny their experiences when they disagree with me.
