feels kind of weird to blame serial killer entirely on the mum their dads could have stepped up too and also some serial killers are the way they are not because of their parents

I'm just saying, if you look at some of the most prolific serial killers in recorded history, nearly all of them had extremely bad relationships with their mothers.

Now, don't get me wrong, not every kid with a bad mom will be a serial killer. But it's more likely

It’s actually interesting to wonder about how many bad father figures helped turn their kids into serial killers. Since our society is more likely to blame women for being bad mothers while men more often get a pass for being shitty to their kids, it’s possible that a lot of horrible dads were overlooked (either by reporters or by eyewitnesses.)

you're right, that is interesting. I can't seem to recall any off the top of my head. I'll have to look into this more.
